Trip Advisory

From March 26-27, Deputy Administrator Isobel Coleman will travel to Atlanta, Georgia to attend the Atlanta Phambili: A Trade & Investment Gateway to Africa & South Africa event, organized by Prosper Africa and the U.S. Mission to South Africa. The event will launch the economic pillar of the U.S. Mission in South Africa’s Atlanta Phambili initiative that aims to develop new investment opportunities for American and African businesses.

During Atlanta Phambili, Deputy Administrator Coleman will attend an investment roundtable focused on opportunities to deploy private sector capital in Africa and mitigating investment risks for U.S. investors.

The Deputy Administrator will also give the keynote speech at the Trade and Innovation Forum. The event will highlight Africa as a strategic trade partner for the United States, how innovation and technology can drive greater opportunities for small- and medium-sized enterprises in the Africa-U.S. trade corridor, and the U.S. government's role in encouraging trade and investment to, from, and within the African continent.
