The goal of USAID’s development assistance is an independent, democratic, prosperous, and healthy Ukraine united around core European values. Over our 30 years of partnership, USAID has fostered inclusive economic growth that benefits workers and families while supporting a free press and robust civil society. USAID also creates opportunities for Ukrainians to participate in civic activities and democratic processes. Amid Russia’s war against Ukraine, we have helped ensure Ukrainians have heat and electricity despite Russia’s attacks on energy systems and supported farmers and food exporters to continue providing grain to people all over the world.  We have also provided lifesaving humanitarian assistance to vulnerable Ukrainians, especially those in frontline communities. USAID also partners with Ukraine to build a health system that is transparent, efficient, and responsive to the needs of the Ukrainian people.
