Rebecca Chalif is the Chief of Staff at the U.S. Agency for International Development. Chalif previously served as Deputy Assistant Administrator for Public Affairs, overseeing external communication for the Agency, and as the Agency's Press Director and Spokesperson. Chalif has over a decade of experience working in strategic communication and media relations. Prior to joining the Biden-Harris Administration, Chalif served as a Senior Account Director at Sunshine Sachs Morgan & Lylis where she oversaw many of the firm's top political, social good and issue advocacy accounts. Previously, she served as Deputy Communications Director on then Senator Kamala Harris' presidential primary campaign, as Senior Director of Communications at the Sheryl Sandberg and Dave Goldberg Family Foundation and as the Director of Women's Media on Hillary Clinton's 2016 presidential campaign.

Chalif is from New York and received her undergraduate degree from Duke University and her Master's degree from Georgetown University.
